02-May-2024 TVS Motor Company, Maruti Suzuki and Ester Industries to see some action today <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">TVS Motor Company </span>has registered a 25 per cent growth in sales in April 2024, having sold 3,83,615 units this year compared to 3,06,224 units during the same month last year. Sales of total two-wheelers made in April this year went up by 27 per cent to 3,74,592 units, from 2,94,786 units sold in April 2023. Sales of two-wheelers in the domestic market also grew by 29 per cent to 3,01,449 units in April this year compared to 2,32,956 units sales made in same month of last year.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Maruti Suzuki India</span> has reported a 4.7 per cent increase in total sales at 1,68,089 units in April 2024. The company had dispatched a total of 1,60,529 units to its dealers in the same month last year. Total domestic passenger vehicle sales were 1,37,952 units compared to 1,37,320 units in the year-ago period. Sales of mini segment cars, comprising Alto and S-Presso, declined to 11,519 units as against 14,110 units in April 2023.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Ester Industries</span> has entered into a Joint Venture Agreement (JV Agreement) with Loop Industries Inc. (Loop), a Company under the laws of State of Nevada with principal office at Quebec, Canada, to incorporate a Joint Venture Company in India for the purpose of engaging in the business of manufacture of DMT and/or MEG through depolymerisation of PET and/or Polyester waste using patented Loop technology.&nbsp;</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Hero MotoCorp</span> has sold 533,585 units of motorcycles and scooters in April 2024. This translates into a robust 34.7% growth over the corresponding month (April 2023), when it had sold 3.96 lakh units and a sequential growth of 9% over the previous month's (March 2024) sales of 490,415. The volume growth in the month of April highlights the company's sales trend, especially in the 125cc and 400+cc segments. 22-Apr-2024 Hero MotoCorp, CG Motors inaugurate product assembly facility in Nepal <p style="text-align: justify;">Building on its commitment to Nepal, Hero MotoCorp along with its authorized distributor CG Motors have inaugurated a product assembly facility in the country.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Hero MotoCorp launched four of its globally popular products – Xpulse 200 4V, Super Splendor, Splendor+ motorcycles and Xoom 110 scooter. The four products will be assembled locally at the new state-of-the-art assembly facility located in CG Industrial Park in Nawalparasi.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">The facility will have a capacity of 75,000 units per annum and will bring new investments and create job opportunities in the region. 02-Apr-2024 Hero MotoCorp reports 6% fall in total sales in March <p style="text-align: justify;">Hero MotoCorp has sold 4,90,415 units in March 2024. This translates into 5.57% de-growth over the corresponding month (March 2023), when it had sold 519,342 units. Of the total sales in March 2024, the company sold 456,724 motorcycles and 33,691 scooters as against 485,896 motorcycles and 33,446 scooters sold in March 2023.&nbsp;</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Domestic sales stood at 459,257 units in March 2024, down from sales of 502,730 units in March last year. Besides, the company's exports increased to 31,158 units in March 2024versus 16,612 units in March 2023.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">The company has reported a 5.5% growth in total sales at 56,21,455 units in 2023-24 as compared to the 2022-2023. The company had sold 53,28,546 units in 2022-23. Motorcycle sales in FY24 stood at 51,90,672 units as against 49,59,156 units in FY23. Scooter sales were at 430,783 units in FY24 as compared to 369,390 units in FY23. Domestic sales in FY24 were higher at 54,20,532 units as compared to 51,55,793 units in FY23. 02-Mar-2024 JSW Steel, Torrent Power and Hindustan Aeronautics to see some action today <p style="text-align: justify;"><b>JSW Steel</b>'s step down wholly owned subsidiary -- JSW Steel Italy SRL(JSW) and the Ministry of Industry and Made in Italy, the Tuscany Region, the Municipality of Piombino have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This MOU is intended to commence &amp; relaunch the Steelworks site of Piombino. Apart from doubling the current rail making capacity from 300,000 tonnes to 600,000 tonnes per annum, the investments at Piombino are aimed at making the Rail Mill more efficient, most modern, technologically advanced and best in class. The project envisages setting up of Tandem Mill, Head Hardening facility and increase the length of rails from 108 to 120 meters.&nbsp;</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><b>Torrent Power</b> has emerged as the successful bidder and has received Letter of Award (LoA) from Railway Energy Management Company (REMCL) on February 29, 2024 for setting up of grid-connected renewable power projects, with or without storage, for supply of 100 MW Round-The-Clock power. Project shall be commissioned within 24 months from the signing of Power Purchase Agreement.
