Hero MotoCorp has sold 4,90,415 units in March 2024. This translates into 5.57% de-growth over the corresponding month (March 2023), when it had sold 519,342 units. Of the total sales in March 2024, the company sold 456,724 motorcycles and 33,691 scooters as against 485,896 motorcycles and 33,446 scooters sold in March 2023. 

Domestic sales stood at 459,257 units in March 2024, down from sales of 502,730 units in March last year. Besides, the company's exports increased to 31,158 units in March 2024versus 16,612 units in March 2023.

The company has reported a 5.5% growth in total sales at 56,21,455 units in 2023-24 as compared to the 2022-2023. The company had sold 53,28,546 units in 2022-23. Motorcycle sales in FY24 stood at 51,90,672 units as against 49,59,156 units in FY23. Scooter sales were at 430,783 units in FY24 as compared to 369,390 units in FY23. Domestic sales in FY24 were higher at 54,20,532 units as compared to 51,55,793 units in FY23. Similarly, exports stood at 2,00,923 units in FY24, up from 1,72,753 units in FY23.

Hero MotoCorp is currently trading at Rs. 4631.35, up by 112.00 points or 2.48% from its previous closing of Rs. 4519.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 4539.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 4635.35 and Rs. 4518.00 respectively. So far 3308 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 4979.95 on 12-Feb-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2246.75 on 28-Mar-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 4635.35 and Rs. 4445.95 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 91415.22 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.76%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 56.44% and 8.80% respectively.

JSW Steel’s step down wholly owned subsidiary -- JSW Steel Italy SRL(JSW) and the Ministry of Industry and Made in Italy, the Tuscany Region, the Municipality of Piombino have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This MOU is intended to commence & relaunch the Steelworks site of Piombino. Apart from doubling the current rail making capacity from 300,000 tonnes to 600,000 tonnes per annum, the investments at Piombino are aimed at making the Rail Mill more efficient, most modern, technologically advanced and best in class. The project envisages setting up of Tandem Mill, Head Hardening facility and increase the length of rails from 108 to 120 meters. 

Torrent Power has emerged as the successful bidder and has received Letter of Award (LoA) from Railway Energy Management Company (REMCL) on February 29, 2024 for setting up of grid-connected renewable power projects, with or without storage, for supply of 100 MW Round-The-Clock power. Project shall be commissioned within 24 months from the signing of Power Purchase Agreement. The project cost is around Rs 2,700 crore for installing about 325 MW of renewable capacity for supply of 100 MW RE-RTC power. 

Hindustan Aeronautics has signed contract with Ministry of Defence for Manufacture and Supply of RD-33 Aero Engines for MiG-29 aircraft, at a cost of Rs 5,249.72 crore. These Aero Engines are expected to fulfill the need of Indian Air Force (IAF) to sustain the operational capability of the MiG-29 fleet for the residual service life. The aero-engines will be manufactured under Transfer of Technology (TOT) license from the Russian OEM. The programme will focus on indigenisation of several high value critical components, which would help increase the indigenous content of future Repair and Overhaul (ROH) tasks of RD-33 aero-engines.

Hero MotoCorp has sold 468,410 units in February 2024. This translates into a robust 19% growth over the corresponding month (February 2023), when it had sold 394,460 units. Of the total sales in February 2024, the company sold 436,929 motorcycles and 31,481 scooters as against 371,854 motorcycles and 22,606 scooters sold in February 2023. Domestic sales stood at 445,257 units in February 2024, up from sales of 382,317 units in February last year. Besides, the company's exports increased to 23,153 units in February 2024 versus 12,143 units in February 2023.

Escorts Kubota’s Construction Equipment Segment has sold 611 machines in February 2024 registering a growth of 30.0% as against 470 machines sold in February 2023.
