BEML has reported results for fourth quarter (Q4) and year ended March 31, 2024.

The company has reported 62.51% rise in its net profit at Rs 257.13 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 158.22 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 7.92% at Rs 1,518.52 crore for Q4FY24 as compared Rs 1,407.14 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On consolidated basis, the company has reported 62.85% rise in its net profit at Rs 256.80 crore for fourth quarter ended March 31, 2024 as compared to Rs 157.69 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 7.91% at Rs 1,518.25 crore for Q4FY24 as compared Rs 1,406.90 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2024, the company has reported 78.25% rise in net profit at Rs 283.02 crore as compared to Rs 158.78 crore for the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 4.46% at Rs 4,097.49 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 3,922.73 crore for year ended March 31, 2023.

For the year ended March 31, 2024, on the consolidated basis, the company has reported 78.46% rise in its net profit at Rs 281.77 crore as compared to Rs 157.89 crore for the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 4.44% at Rs 4,096.56 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 3,922.54 crore for year ended March 31, 2023.

BEML is currently trading at Rs. 3627.50, up by 417.70 points or 13.01% from its previous closing of Rs. 3209.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 3352.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 3671.95 and Rs. 3250.90 respectively. So far 62918 shares were traded on the counter.

BEML and Bharat Electronics (BEL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop an indigenous Train Control Management System (i-TCMS). Currently, Train Control Management Systems (TCMS) are predominantly supplied by propulsion suppliers, leading to dependency on imported technology.

The primary objective of this partnership is to identify potential areas of cooperation between BEML and BEL, with a focus on exploring the joint development of high-value products and solutions tailored to the requirements of Indian Railways and Metro systems.

BEML a leading mining and construction equipment manufacturer has designed and developed indigenously over 40 products through its R&D, and are not only working in India but also in 65 countries around the world.
