Paras Defence and Space Technologies has received the contract from Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative (IFFCO) amounting to around  Rs 20 crore for spraying of IFFCO Nano fertilizers, Sagarika, IFFCO MC Agro-Chemicals and other IFFCO & IFFCO JV’s Agri-products using drones in the fields of individual farmers, with the aim of enhancing agricultural productivity and efficiency. The order is to be executed by September 30, 2024.

Cochin Shipyard has bagged order from European Client, for the design and construction of one no. hybrid Service Operation Vessel (SOV). The total project cost for the firm order is around Rs 500 crore and the vessel to be delivered in 2026. The vessel is designed and built for the service, maintenance and operational needs of the offshore wind farm industry in the European market where sustainable energy solutions are in high demand.

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals (Glenmark) has joined hands with Pfizer to launch abrocitinib, a first of its kind oral advanced systemic treatment for moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD), in India. Developed by Pfizer, abrocitinib has received marketing authorization from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) in India and is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), European Medicines Agency (EMA), and other regulatory agencies.

Paras Defence and Space Technologies has won the contract for Design, Optimization, Fabrication and Qualification of Optical Periscopes for ICS for Submarine Application dated January 30, 2024, from Instrument Research & Development Establishment (IRDE), Govt. of India, Ministry of Defence, DRDO.

Divgi TorqTransfer Systems has received order confirmations for three components from two marquee Tier I North American manufacturers of Gearboxes and Transmissions. These are precision forged and machined components for the passenger and Light commercial vehicles. The annual value of these orders is around Rs 42.5 crore (based on current forex rate). As indicated by the customers, after successful trials, the mass production of these parts will commence during FY 2024-25.

Paras Defence and Space Technologies (Paras Defence) and Instrument Research & Development Establishment (IRDE), DRDO have entered into a ‘Licensing Agreement for Transfer of Technology’ (LAToT) on January 30, 2024 for transferring the technology of Remote Control Border Defence System named as ‘Weaponisation of Hand Held Thermal Imager with LRF (WHHTI)’ as developed by IRDE, DRDO.

Weaponisation of Hand Held Thermal Imager with Laser Range Finder is a remotely controlled weapon station, which is a unique standalone system equipped with detection, identification and counter-measure of threats at the Border and Sensitive Areas. With this technology, Paras Defence will be able to manufacture and sell WHHTI in India to Indian Armed Forces/MoD/Govt. of India/Para Military Forces.
