Sheela Foam has informed that the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, (‘DCDRC’), East Delhi, announced an order on March 11, 2024, in favor of the company in the matter of an insurance claim. A brief Order of DCDRC was uploaded on its website on April 3, 2024. As per the order, the company has been awarded compensation amounting to Rs 21,38,77,055 along with an interest rate of 10% from the date of rejection, July 27, 2020. Additionally, the company has been granted Rs 7,50,000 for mental anguish and losses, and Rs 2,50,000 for legal expenses. The detailed Order is yet to be uploaded on its website. In compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, as well as the SEBI Circular dated July 13, 2023, it has provided the requisite details in Annexure 1, enclosed. Sheela Foam has completed the acquisition of 2.57% of the share capital of Kurlon Enterprise (KEL) for an aggregate consideration of approximately Rs 55.33 crore. Sheela Foam now holds 97.23% of the share capital of KEL.

Earlier, the company had completed the acquisition of 94.66% of the share capital of KEL for an aggregate consideration of approximately Rs 2035 crore, subject to customary post-closing adjustments, including for net working capital, debt and surplus cash.

Sheela Foam is a leading manufacturer of mattresses in India marketed under its flagship brand “Sleepwell”.

Dhruv Consultancy Services in association with Kaius Consulting has received the Letter of Award (LoA) for providing Consultancy Services for Independent Engineer Services for 4-Laning of NH-716 from Kadapa (Junction with Kadapa Bypass Road) (Design Km 0.000 /Existing Km 260.652 of NH 716) to Chinnaorampadu (Design Km 64.200/Existing Km 196.125) (Design length-64.200 km)(Package - 1) under Bharatmala Pariyojana in the State of Andhra Pradesh under HAM mode from the Office of General Manager (T)-Andhra Pradesh - National Highways Authority of India, New Delhi (the Authority) dated October 20, 2023, as received directly by the company i.e. Dhruv Consultancy Services on October 21, 2023. The contract price for the said Project will be Rs 5.40 crore excluding GST. The contract period will be of 48 months. 

Lupin has received approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for its Abbreviated New Drug Application for Fluconazole Tablets USP, 50 mg, 100 mg, 150 mg, and 200 mg, to market a generic equivalent of Diflucan Tablets, 50 mg, 100 mg, 150 mg, and 200 mg, of Pfizer, Inc. This product will be manufactured at Lupin’s Pithampur facility in India. Fluconazole Tablets USP (RLD Diflucan) had estimated annual sales of $43 million in the U.S. (IQVIA MAT July 2023).
