HEG has completed expansion project taking its capacity from 80,000 tons to 100,000 tons per annum & becoming the largest Graphite Electrodes Plant in World under one roof. Although most of the process shops were already operational for past few months, the last shop came under commercial production with effect from November 1, 2023.

The expansion costed around Rs 1200 crore and took 3 years to complete. The company could do it in record time despite interruption due to Covid in 2020 and 2021. The company has taken special care to get the state of the art equipments and technologies which are also environmentally friendly making it the latest and most modern plant in the world. With the completion of expansion, HEG becomes the third largest Graphite electrode company in the western world.

HEG is a leading manufacturer and exporter of graphite electrodes in India and operates world's largest single-site integrated graphite electrodes plant.

Pursuant to the provisions of Regulation 29 read with Regulation 33 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, HEG has informed that the next Meeting of the Board of Directors of the company is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, 8th November, 2023 to consider, approve and take on record, the Un-audited Financial Results (Standalone & Consolidated) of the Company for the quarter and half year ending 30th September, 2023. Further pursuant to the Code of Conduct for Regulating, Monitoring & Reporting Trading by Insiders of the Company under SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 2015, it has informed that the trading window for the purpose of trading in the shares of the Company by its Designated Persons & its immediate relatives shall remain closed from 1st October, 2023 till 48 hours after the announcement of Financial Results (‘Trading Restriction Period’) for the Quarter and half year ending 30th September, 2023.
